Methods of Removal of Hormones in Wastewater
نویسندگان
چکیده
Hormones are a type of emerging contaminant that reach the aquatic environment through wastewater effluents and which treatment plants (WWTP) cannot eliminate. The objective this article was to determine best hormone abatement technique between algae microalgae, rotating biological discs, organic adsorbents, activated carbon. For this, critical review behavior methods conducted in existing bibliographical scientific databases over last eight years. Then, Modified Saaty method applied, establishing relationship removal efficiency, time, maintenance costs, stage development, environmental impact each studied by panel experts, who weighted chosen variables on scale 1–9 according variable’s importance. results indicated abate hormones is one uses adsorbents reached final comparative value 0.58/1, indicates suitability combine five comparison variables. At same disc 0.17/1, indicating its deficiency balance analyzed

Introduction: Micro pollutants have become one of the most important environmental concerns around the world. These natural and synthetic compounds have been called Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) due to their interfere with the normal function of the endocrine system in humans and animals. They include natural and synthetic hormones and their metabolites, surfactant, insecticide, as well...
